Travis W. Hoffman is a life-long resident of Putnam County, West Virginia. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from West Virginia University in 2000. Then in 2004, Mr. Hoffman received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from West Virginia College of Law.

After graduation, Mr. Hoffman returned to Putnam County and worked as a law Circuit Court Clerk for the Honorable Judge O.C. Spaulding for two years. In 2006, Mr. Hoffman joined the law firm of Tyree and Embree where he specializes in the areas of personal injury, general civil litigation, and criminal defense.
